Working with ABRI/Homes for the Brave since 2007, The PFC Nicholas A. Madaras Home, transitional and supportive housing program opened its doors to their first female Veterans and their children on October 21, 2011, what would have been Nick's 25th birthday.
The home located in Bridgeport Connecticut, accommodates 15 women, with 3 beds handicap compatible. Since it's opening over 70 women and 9 children have been served providing them with resources and case management to ensure a productive return to civilian life.
We are so proud that the home built in Nick’s memory is helping to alleviate veteran homelessness in the state of Connecticut. We are proud to report that the home built in Nick's memory has helped contribute to officially ending veteran homelessness in the state of Connecticut.
